Scenic Flights & Flying Safaris

For a birthday, the New Year, Christmas, a wedding or for any special day that you want to make unique, a flight is an original idea. Very few people are privileged enough to have flown in an airplane, so now this is their chance. For 2 passengers or for larger groups, for a private tour or for a corporate incentive… A stroll in the sky is always appreciated.

Every year, the biggest mammal in the world leaves the frozen Antarctica and swims to the Cape South Coast.
The majestic Southern Right whales have chosen warmer climates for giving birth and they spend up to five months a year here,
from June to October, playing, courting, and nursing their newborn calves. Peak calving season is July and August,
but whales can be seen through September and October.

Being close to these giants is quite unusual, but seeing their majestic beauty from the sky,
distinctly visible, without any interference for them, is absolutely unforgettable.
There are few moments in life that can offer such a show in one tour.

Seychelles shark attack kills honeymooning man

A British man on his honeymoon has been killed by a shark in the Seychelles, less than a fortnight after a French tourist was also fatally bitten in the waters off the same island.

The 30-year-old, named as Ian Redmond from Lancashire, was attacked on Tuesday while his bride was sunbathing on the shore, according to reports.

The shark struck in the waters off Anse Lazio beach on the island of Praslin, the second largest in the Indian Ocean archipelago and a popular destination with honeymooning Britons.

A tourist in a dinghy dragged the man on board and brought him ashore and another holidaymaker then tried to save his life, according to a report in the Daily Mail.

“We heard screaming and people started running down the beach towards the water,” an American tourist was quoted as saying. “Someone had seen a fin sticking out of the water, and then we saw a dinghy pulling a man from the water.

“I saw the swimmer, who was missing a huge chunk of flesh from his left leg, so much so that I could see the bone of his thigh. He was sickeningly pale, but still had his flippers on both feet.

“At this point a woman ran over and started screaming. She said: ‘That’s my husband! We were just married.’

SAA Introduces new destinations!

South African Airways will launch new operations to Bujumbura (Burundi), Kigali (Rwanda) and Cotonou (Benin), from the 31st October  2011.

By simultaneously adding three new destinations to SAA’s African route network, this will strengthen SAA’s already expansive route network in Africa. SAA aims to increase travel options for the convenience of its customers and to ensure that South Africa remains both a major destination in its own right and a key transit point for connecting long-haul international and regional African destinations.
Bujumbura and Kigali will be serviced thrice weekly while Cotonou will operate twice weekly as an extension of SAA’s existing Libreville (Gabon) service. These new routes will be serviced by SAA’s A319 aircraft.
