Need for cohesion in travel industry

There is a great need for cohesion in the travel industry. There needs to be a seamless shared link of responsibility from the client to the end operator – to their entire company and back again to the client. Received this in an email which is a perfect example of a agent trying to work with an airline who does not have uniformity and communication instilled in their organization:

Must tell you though that I had BIG hassles getting on the flight back to JNB from MRU – I had a doctors letter and was 32 weeks (which is the international cut-off to travel – I did check with MK when I booked) But MK on THAT side said they only let woman up to 28 weeks travel??? Anyway huge fight and lots of wasted energy later – there happened to be a doctor on the same flight, and he accepted responsibility for me travelling on the flight home. So maybe just as a mention to everyone to check very carefully when they have pregnant passengers – cause seems there are sticky airlines and staff out there. It really put a sour taste on an otherwise lovely holiday.

This has been touched on before however people for the sake of the clients lets all talk to each other, get the message across clearly and effectively from one side to the other and back again. I am sure that the above is not an isolate case, I have a few examples of my own in the past few years.
