The efficient and safe carriage of your bicycle to and from Cape Town is of prime importance to South African Airways and every endeavour will be made to ensure that your bicycle receives the appropriate care and handling in carriage.

There are other options – a few more rands however SAA is not carrying the bikes for free so here is another option:

For our Gauteng based clients, your bikes will be professionally transported to Cape Town and back to Johannesburg.
All bikes are individually boxed (self packed bikes in carriers or boxes are also welcome)
Bikes can be collected at Night Trans’ hospitality area; Hamilton’s Rugby Club in Greenpoint from two days prior to race day!
